Church trip to Utah

So plan all made the week before!!  In this trip we are going into three states, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah (we start off in California, if you may), but anyways that's the three states we will explore in this three day trip. Of the Locations we will explore in the trip are, Virgin River, St. George, Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon Dam, Antelope Canyon, and Bryce Canyon. So much nature to capture in three days.

Virgin River
(see the legit river?)
SO we started off from our church on May 26, and we drove to Barstow to have to rest, then to Las Vegas Craig Regional Park to have lunch. Next we drove and drove and reached Virgin River which is in Arizona. Virgin River was quite a scene. There were tall reddish mountains with Ok amounts of trees, but mainly there is a shallow river you can hop in and relax. Although I did go into the river, nor did I see it, someone found a froglet, I think, I didn't see it, I guess on what people said about it. There were also many holes that exposed ants that are quite large, with a remarkable head. We stayed for about an hour and soon we went on to our next destination, St. George, Utah. We reached the border of Utah at about 6:07 PM (PST Time), and we soon got into our hotel, Quality Inn. There we ate our dinner and slept for the night.

The whole HorseShoe Bend
The next day we headed out to Horsebend, the famous yet quite dangerous view of the Colorado River. The sight was beautiful, and although I the river was quite hard to see (like the whole bend and that stuff), but I finally found an angle and got the whole bend. My friend was taking selfies of himself, and at first he was aiming at the wrong direction, and when he finally got it, someone photobombed his supposedly beautiful picture (LOL).

Glen Canyon Dam
Soon we were on our way to Glen Canyon Dam, which was pretty close to Horseshoe. We walked across the bridge and it was scary, especially when a heavy truck drives by, the bridge shakes a little, but quite worth the view (I mean obviously if the bridge is sturdy...) We crossed the bri
dge and went into the museum of the dam, and there were quite some information to feed on (like literally), like especially how they built the dam (still don't know how), but yea fascinating. We got on the bus, and we got Burger King, but we were short on them, so literally some people got only burgers, french fries, or chicken, no one got a whole bag (which was annoying), but I guess, at least everyone got something to put in the stomachs.

The 'heart' of Antelope Canyon
Then we rushed to Antelope Canyon, and when we got there we had an hour of wait time for the tour guides so that all of us could go at once. The tour guides are Indians of the area, but they still have cars. The cars they used are remodeled, there is a seat compartment in the back, and extra height has been added to the car. The ride to the Canyon was bumpy, it was like Indiana Jones!! When we got inside the canyon it was dark, but with the little sunlight it was amazing.

Bryce Canyon
After that we drove to Bryce Canyon. The canyon was beautiful, there were pillar like rocks that were red and white, there were a lot of angles to take (a picture of) the pillars, and the weather was cold!! We then went to our hotel BestWestern/Ruby's INN, and we had our Lord's Table Meeting, and we got ready for stargazing. Although there wasn't a lot of stars, like in like Joshua Tree, there was enough. I instantly recognized the Big Dipper and so yea, it is almost impossible in LA.

Today is the last day. We are heading back to our church at full speed. We head back from Bryce Canyon at 7:30 AM, but disappointedly there was traffic at the Interstate 15, so we reached church 2 hours away, but despite that we played Mafia and Therapist, helped killed some time. Also we watched an episode of StarWars, but didn't finish it, cause we got to our destination!!  A lot thanks to Hector our driver for driving us back safely!! And yes, this concludes my Memorial Day 2018 Trip!!
