Camping at Wasewagan with ACADEC
Group Picture at Camp Wasewagan For three days, the Mark Keppel Academic Decathlon (MKHS ACADEC) team celebrated the weekend with the Alhambra and West Decathlete teams at Camp Wasewagan up in Angelus Oaks, San Bernardino. It was a three day camp from November 23-25. Saturday was our first day, where we all met at Alhambra High School to get on the bus. (A few Keppel girls went with Mr. Tran, the awesome Keppel ACADEC coach!) An almost three hour drive, we got to Camp. There was a bit of snow at the camp, and from our cabin (Keppel boys resided in Cabin 4) there was snow right outside. The air was cold, but was really fresh (talking about more oxygen [cough cough, not the ones paired with carbon]). The cabin looked liked the camps in WWII, but more room and a ton more sanitary with a heater, and only two beds per bunk.
